"It's a bird!"
"It's a plane!"
"It's coming right at us!"
"Shit, shit, shit!"
A beat up minivan swerved across the road as the driver caught sight of the flaming projectile descending down through the night sky directly in his path. His companions were swearing so loud that he could not hear himself cussing, as he turned the wheel hand over hand even as the metallic object plowed into the Earth, raining dirt and pieces of concrete in all directions. The ship-was it a ship?-left a trail of flame in its wake as it cut clear across the all interstate and into a grassy field on the other side, where it finally pushed up enough dirt ahead of it to come to a complete stop.
"What the FUCK was that?", the driver hollared as he climbed out of his truck, half in awe, half ready for a fight. "If that is a goddamn flying saucer, I swear I'll be the first to welcome E.T. to Earth, ya hear!?" His companions, who were similarly drunk, whooped their support and pumped their fists as they all marched toward the black steel that seemed to have had the shape of a tear drop prior to all of the external damage received in the crash. The ring leader was actually inebriated enough to go right up to the ship and give it a kick, before his further efforts fell short as the three men experienced the vessel going through some sort of decompression, as a seal opened along the top.
"Aw man, this is it. This is what I've been-"
The driver lost his words as a figure stood up out of the vessel, who did not, at least on the surface, appear to be an alien at all, but a man in a black jumpsuit with an embroidered 'Z' upon his chest. The side of his face was bloody from the crash, and he swayed as he climbed out of the ship, eyeing the men warily.
"...Uh.. hey mister, don't worry, it's gonna be alright."
The man in black regarded the others for a moment, before collapsing to the ground where he stood.
"...That's it, let's get out of here! I've seen enough. This guy is on his own when the Feds roll up!", the van driver called even as he took off ahead of the other two men, leaving the 'space man' laying in the dirt.
