Fingers curled around the railing as the Doctor gazed out over the landscape from behind lifeform safe pexiglass. Though the city was open nearly all the time, today he seemed to be the only vistor and to be honest with himself? Part of him quite preffered the blessed silence then anything else in the universe at the moment.
Well, that wasn't quite true. Though the alien ignored every fiber of his being that tempted him with images of the blonde he would have rather been spending his company in such a beautiful place with. Not because it wasn't right but because he didn't think he'd be able to stand such torture, even if it was by his own hand.
Soulful brown eyes closed as he leaned futher against the cold metal of the railing. Pressing his forhead against the glass he sighed deeply, before letting the tears that were practilly boiling under his eyes fall down his face being gratful once more that today seemed to be the off day for tourists and the like.

He remained like that for god knows how long(and really, what did god have do with anything?he never would understand that earth phrase honestly). Minutes? Hours? Weeks, months, years? Who knew! What he did know however was that staying here till the universe died wouldn't make him feel any better.
Scrubbing his face with his hands he lightly pressed his fingers against the glass softly. "Goodbye Rose" He mummered it so softly even he could barley hear it himself. Staying like that for a few moments longer the Doctor finally turned, jamming his hands deep into the pockets of his suit and slowly trekked his way back towards the TARDIS.
He paused only once more the glance back at the ever shifting rings beyond the glass before slipping inside the ship as blinking at the console as though he had never seen such a thing before in his life.
Soft, sad, smile tugged at the end of his lips as he carefully stroked it, fiddling with knobs and buttons and coordinates. "Right, just You and Me old girl." He half stated half whispered, his voice breaking as the familier whoosh of the engine started; signaling that it had succesfully taking off.
~~~~~
Body wavering as the TARDIS landed, he uncurled his fingers and gulped. glancing at the door. Exploring; being around people? that was the last thing he wanted at the moment! Though what kind of explorer would he be if just sat around the TARDIS for eternity? A rubbish one thats what!
Glancing back at the console as the ship revved its engine at him impatiently and flashed it a sad smile, stroking part of it. "I know I know."He muttered.
Taking a deep breathe he pushed the door open and peered out carefully before stepping out onto the street entirely......
