Monday
Who: Jay and JD
When: Later Afternoon
Where: Their respective residences
What: An IM conversation
James McGaven: I'm sorry my dad is such a dick.
JD Fairfax: He can't hep
JD Fairfax: help himself
James McGaven: Yes he can. He just doesn't want to.
JD Fairfax: He needs to know he's wanted
JD Fairfax: and goes about it terribly
James McGaven: Yeah he does.
James McGaven: Don't tell him I said anything. He doesn't know I borrowed his phone. He took mine.
JD Fairfax: Why did he take y our phone
James McGaven: Because I'm a terrible son.
JD Fairfax: I highly doubt that
James McGaven: No, he told me I am.
JD Fairfax: Jay, your father is...well he's not the best at this dad thing. He doesn't mean it
James McGaven: You think that because you love him and you want to see the good in him. But he does mean it.
JD Fairfax: Well he's wrong.
James McGaven: It's okay though. I'm fine with it. I've accepted that I'm never going to make him happy or proud and I'm just not going to try anymore.
JD Fairfax: Just make yourself happy Jay
James McGaven: I'm trying. That's why he's mad at me.
JD Fairfax: I will talk to him
James McGaven: Don't bother. I just wanted to say that... He's a jerk. And you shouldn't put up with that. You could do better.
JD Fairfax: Well yes he is, but Jay he will be with me forever
James McGaven: But he doesn't deserve you.
JD Fairfax: Thank you for that...wait if you have his phone you didn't read his messages did u
James McGaven: Not all of them. And not on purpose. I was going to send a text to someone and they were on there when I opened the messaging app.
JD Fairfax: so you know what he sent then
James McGaven: I'm researching memory charms right now so I can erase it from mine.
JD Fairfax: Ah okay then
James McGaven: Maybe he's confused. Not that you can't still do better. And not that I haven't seen him with plenty of women. But it never lasts.
JD Fairfax: Even if your dad is confused he will never give in.
James McGaven: You're right. The council wouldn't like it.
James McGaven: Or court. Whatever.
James McGaven: Faerie politics aren't my strong suit.
JD Fairfax: I know the politics quite well and they still confuse me. But no the court wouldn't like it much.
James McGaven: So why bother? With him?
James McGaven: Nevermind. That's none of my business. Forget I asked.
JD Fairfax: You know why, I love him.
James McGaven: Do you think you'll ever love someone else like you love him?
JD Fairfax: I hope so but your dad will be determined to keep it from happening
James McGaven: Yeah, you're probably right.
JD Fairfax: But I got used to this being my life years agao
James McGaven: But you shouldn't have to.
JD Fairfax: There is always someone to have sex with Jay
JD Fairfax: He keeps me from having to be emotional with others
James McGaven: But there's more to life than just sex. Don't you ever just want someone to wake up next to? Someone to take care of you? Maybe to pamper you when you've had a bad day at work or whatever?
JD Fairfax: Of course I do Jay, but it's never going to happen
James McGaven: It could. If the right person came along and you told my dad to back off.
JD Fairfax: If the right person came along I might have the strength to but it's never happened
James McGaven: Maybe you just aren't looking hard enough.
JD Fairfax: Maybe
James McGaven: We were in Japan. On business for the court. Dad made me go with him because I got into trouble last time he left me here on my own.
JD Fairfax: What did you do that time
James McGaven: Nothing really. I just went out a few times, maybe drank a little too much. Whatever. Normal stuff.
James McGaven: He's mad because of what I did in Japan.
JD Fairfax: what?
James McGaven: We were meeting with a representative of the dark court there. He let us stay in his house. And I did something with someone I wasn't supposed to.
JD Fairfax: Let me guess, you mixed your light with the dark
James McGaven: That. And.
JD Fairfax: That is a huge court no no baby boy you k now that
James McGaven: I know. But it's worse than that.
JD Fairfax: Jay?
James McGaven: It was our host's kid.
JD Fairfax: Oh geez kid
James McGaven: Well, not a kid like a child, but my age. A little older.
JD Fairfax: I didn't think it was an actual kid
James McGaven: He only has the one kid. Michi.
JD Fairfax: are you close
James McGaven: No. We haven't spoken since.
JD Fairfax: oh okay
James McGaven: Michi isn't exactly... Female, either.
James McGaven: So, like I said, it's a bit worse than just the dark and light thing.
JD Fairfax: Why is he so surprised
James McGaven: You aren't?
JD Fairfax: No
James McGaven: I didn't fuck him. In case you're wondering. We just fooled around some.
JD Fairfax: Oh okay
JD Fairfax: I don't understand the light court
James McGaven: I haven't fucked anyone. I don't want to waste my first time on someone who doesn't mean anything.
James McGaven: Neither do I. But they're pretty displeased. So dad is too, of course.
JD Fairfax: Of course he is
JD Fairfax: He doesn't handle things he has no control over
James McGaven: Or things that threaten his status. Its like... Frustrating because I know that he doesn't really care. Like he doesn't mind the fact that I'm attracted to men more than I am women. He just cares that I got caught and that reflects badly on him.
JD Fairfax: I know jay
James McGaven: I gotta go. My cab is here. If I don't get out of here while he's still sleeping, I won't get out of here at all
JD Fairfax: jay please behave
James McGaven: I'll be fine. Tell him not to worry. Oh, and I found my phone, btw. If I need something, I'll call.
JD Fairfax: Jay...come on
James McGaven: I'll be okay. Promise.
JD Fairfax: Dont make me worry about you
James McGaven: I'll call if I need you.
James McGaven: Bye.
JD Fairfax: Bye
