WHO: Pandora & Prometheus WHEN: Wednesday afternoon WHERE: Prometheus' studio WHAT: Pandora is commissioning presents for the hubby.
When Pandora arrived at Prometheus' studio she was accompanied by the low rumble of thunder above, the sky looking ominous and the smell of static on the air. Pulling off her crochet beret, Pandora ran a hand through her hair to fix it. Then spotting the Titan she smiled at him, bag holding the box still on her shoulder. "So how do you want me?"
A statue of herself for her husband seemed like a wonderful idea to Pandora, and she was vain enough to want to see what a master craftsman would make of her.

[info]firestealer 2011-05-31 07:50 pm UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select He'd known this was pure vanity on Pandora's part. You just didn't give anyone a statue without there being that. But she was Greek, made by the most vain creatures imaginable so he didn't really blame her. Much.
And Epimetheus seemed to love her, and he seemed happy around her. He wouldn't make his brother less happy. "Depends what kind you want. If you want it in a Greek style, bathroom's there if you want to change. You're the client, you get to decide how you want the statue."

[info]pandoros 2011-06-01 03:23 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select "Not Greek," Pandora said firmly. "I'm not sure what I want, but don't make me Greek." She shrugged off her coat as she came to stand near him. "I don't need any more reminders of what I am, and neither does your brother."

[info]firestealer 2011-06-01 03:34 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select "You are what you are, no shame in that." He wouldn't say much more then that. His advice didn't seem very welcomed. He found a chair and sat down. "Well then. Modern or old?"

[info]pandoros 2011-06-01 03:40 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select "Modern. I want a modern marriage," Pandora explained, even though she didn't really had to justify herself to Prometheus. "Reminding Epimetheus of whatever I was in Ancient Greece won't help that. So make me into one of your modern women."

[info]firestealer 2011-06-01 03:47 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select "I meant the statue girl. Whatever you do with your marriage is your thing. I'll be of no help there." With a half mocking smile he turned to the clay. He imagined Epimetheus would be thrilled with all this. He couldn't wish his brother ill though. He hoped she made him happy.
"I can do that. Do you want a bust or a full statue? And what do you want it to represent to him?"

[info]pandoros 2011-06-01 03:52 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select Gods, as if she'd ever ask Prometheus of all people for marriage advice. She didn't roll her eyes though, perhaps an impressive feat in her opinion.
She thought about his questions for a moment and then wrinkled up her face in frustration, "I don't know," she finally lamented. "I'm not an artist. Well, I am," she corrected quickly, "but I don't have any feel for it. I'm only an artist because they gave me that." She looked at him, serious but questioning. "What do you think he would like best?"

[info]firestealer 2011-06-01 04:04 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select He watched her, figuring she and his brother were a good match. He grabbed a pack of cigarettes and lit one up. "Besides the obvious? I'm not sure. He'd be happy with anything Pandora. A statue is a nice idea, but he's got the real thing so to me it seems kind of pointless."
He shrugged, "give him something more personal. Hell take him to a visit to a lingerie store, never tell me of it, and make his day. You're trying too hard."

[info]pandoros 2011-06-01 04:15 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select Pandora found a chair and pulled it over so that she could sit across from her brother-in-law. "I just need... something," she said. At his last comment she raised an eyebrow. "You know, saying 'never tell me' just makes me want to tell you-" she leaned in towards him, "every. single. detail. of my sex life." Then she made a little amused smile as she drew back. "Huh, things like that is why you don't like me, isn't it?"

[info]firestealer 2011-06-01 04:39 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select Sighing he shook his head as she leaned close. "I'd rather not hear it, seeing it involves my brother. I'm not that Greek." He tilted his head, "why, the constant need to irritate me or the trying too hard?" He smirked then, "I actually do not dislike you Pandora. You just irritate me." He sighed, "he loves you. You don't need a statue for that. IF you want to prove yourself to him, just be with him. I can make all the statues you like, and that simple thing won't change."

[info]pandoros 2011-06-01 04:43 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select He said he didn't dislike her, but Pandora didn't quite believe him there. It was annoying because most people found her to be charming. (Thank Peitho and the Graces for that slice of herself.) She let it go though.
Shaking her head a little she said, "I can't be everything that he wants. Just... make me something beautiful that I can give to him to remind him him that I am too." She needed Epimetheus to find her beautiful, the most beautiful.

[info]firestealer 2011-06-01 04:54 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select He raised an eyebrow to that. "He doesn't need a reminder of that Pandora. He looks at you and remembers. Even if you're not there, trust me he knows." He didn't even know how to really respond to that. He was half tempted to call his brother and ask, but wouldn't know how to start that conversation.
He ran his hand through his hair and set his cigarette down. "Alright, what kind of beauty do you want to show?"

[info]firestealer 2011-06-01 05:53 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select That made him blink but he didn't correct her. He had no idea what to say. He was an artist, but he needed something to go on, especially if it was for a client. His idea of beauty might not be hers. "You want to do something nice for my brother. Don't need a statue for that."

[info]pandoros 2011-06-01 05:57 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select "You know him better than me," Pandora said, leaning forward again. "I'm his wife but you're practically part of him." Pandora understood that she would only ever be the woman Epimetheus loved - she would never understand him or love him the way that Prometheus did.
"What you have of me?" she asked seriously. "If you were him?"

[info]firestealer 2011-06-01 06:12 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select He sighed, "Same coin, different sides." There was a difference there. A subtle one but he doubted Pandora would get it. Few did, save for the other counterparts and opposites out there.
"Gods, are you serious?" He watched her and shifted on his seat, looking to his fingers. "What he wants more then anything is to know your his. Doesn't think he's worthy of you. You were made by the gods after all. You're fairly perfect. Just show him you're all his and trust me he'll be over the moon."

[info]pandoros 2011-06-01 06:21 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select Pandora watched him carefully and then, after a few moments of silence, said, "Make me a bust. Something simple." She didn't know how to be completely Epimetheus' without the fear of becoming trapped so this would have to do. She would show him her love (as much as she had in any case) as good as she could.

[info]firestealer 2011-06-01 06:28 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select He sighed, "alright. I can do that." He rose then and offered her his hand, "come on come sit in the sun." He waited for her to get up before setting her on a stool. "Just try and forget I'm here." He walked back to the clay, sitting down himself.

[info]pandoros 2011-06-01 06:32 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select Pandora took the offered hand and stood, letting him move her where he wanted her. He was the true artist of them, the one who worked with feeling and intent and not just skill. She unbuttoned her white shirt and drew it off so she was just wearing the thin-strapped singlet beneath, something probably better for him to see her form with for sculpting. "Forget you're here," she repeated, her eyes on him as she made a small smile. "Unlikely."

[info]firestealer 2011-06-01 06:34 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select He smiled and set his fingers to the clay, studying her form with the eyes of an artist. "You have to, or it'll come out wrong. You're not here to see me. Keep in mind who you're here for and just forget me." He began to shape the clay, at least the start of it. It was so easy, he'd done this for so long.

[info]pandoros 2011-06-01 07:12 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select Pandora smiled, just a little but warmly, at the thought of doing something for her husband. She nodded to him and let her gaze drift, watching instead out the window while he worked.

[info]firestealer 2011-06-01 07:16 am UTC (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select It was easy to put her emotions to the clay once she put him out of her mind. Easier still to just focus on starting the foundation of the bust she wanted. Once he had that he'd just need her here for the details, and would complete the finishing touches on his own.
