Aphrodite had had a wonderful meal with Athena and the Merry Much. He had even offered her his bed for the night if she was still worried about Ares, but there was no way Aphrodite was going to stay overnight in that tiny place. She promised Much she was going to be alright, and then she took her leave.

Though not before leaving him a check for 20K on his pillow. Poor boy needed to get himself a nicer place.

She arrived home full and happy. And why wouldn't she be, her darling Marcella was alive! There was still the issue of Ares, however. "Ares!" she called out for him, hanging her coat up. The nymphs were nowhere to be seen, which probably meant her husband was in a mood and they were hiding. "Ares, I'm home!"

"And where the fuck have you been?" Ares appeared in the doorway to the living room, his shoulders close to filling the frame. The glower on his face indicated where he thought she'd been, and the glass hanging loosely from his fingers indicated what he'd been drinking.

He'd had such fire in the pit of his stomach ever since learning of this deal. Oh Apollo had such potential to exploit her, and he would, he would, because Ares would do that exact same thing if he were him. Aphrodite was unsurpassable.
