WHO: Isabelle + Prince John (and guest appearance from Guy of Gisborne) WHEN: Tuesday night WHERE:John's place WHAT: Isabelle's home with her parents get broken into and partially burned down, she needs somewhere to stay WARNING: TBD
It was a gorgeous night! Isabelle had gone out to eat with her parents for the evening at some big, classy expensive restaurant. Her parents were celebrating with her early for all the hard work she'd done to get where she was now. All they'd ever wanted for her was that she put her heart into something and grown.
When they came home though, her entire world flipped upside down. They pulled up to scattered police cars, a fire truck and all their neighbors outside looking at their home. One of the officers came up to them to explain they'd gotten a call from one of the neighbors. Someone had tripped the alarm system before it could go off and alert them, smashed their things, stole anything worth of value and started a fire (though that seemed almost accidental). One of their neighbors noticed the blaze started after her dog raised cane as the burglars ran across their yard. Luckily it had only hit half of the house and they were drawing the flames down.
The devastation washed over her so hard, she could barely keep her legs from falling out from under her. While some cops talked to her parents, another came over to her to ask her if she knew anything. "Officer Lancashire," he addressed himself and when through a line of questions to see if there was anything she knew or anyone that could have come after them. She didn't know how to answer, and she did her best. Her parents had insisted that she stay with a friend, but as she looked at her phone she didn't know who to call. "Is there somewhere I can take you?" Gisborne asked her. He didn't particularly like putting on the good guy act, but she was pretty. "John---" she said in a croaky voice. He was the first one she could think of, and they hadn't exactly done more than talk on the phone these last two years. He might not even be home, but she was hopeful, "John Haveland, you can take me to him." Gisborne knew that name. Hrm. Maybe this wasn't exactly the job that ass wanted him to do, but he'd pay him a little better if he brought this pretty thing to him. What on earth was he going to do with her?
Isabelle gave her directions to Guy and with that proud arrogant look on his face he knocked on John's door. Maybe saying surprise for a job he hadn't even asked for would be a little too much, but Gisborne wasn't going to leave it empty-handed. John owed him something for this. If anything it gave him some insight on just what John had in his back pocket. If Guy ever needed it for blackmail, he had it. Isabelle wasn't as enthused as her officer, she was heart broken and she'd cried the entire way. Her world had been crushed again.
