Helenus smiled at her. "I put that part of my life behind me a long time ago," he replied. "It only matters to people who think they're still due respect and obedience." He shrugged. "I don't really care enough to remind them of who I am. I remade myself into the person I wanted to be. And it works well enough for this new world."
He squeezed her hand, then looked up at her with a perfectly blank expression. "Paris." He held that face for about five seconds before a chuckle slipped out. "She won't get it, but I think it's fitting, don't you?"
