WHO: Saint Francis, Saint Andrew
WHAT: Help me :(
WHEN: Friday night
WHERE: Francis' apartment
WARNINGS: ???
Francis never would have reached out for help (and even when he did he was pretty damn subtle about it) were it not for the fact that when he had fed this animals that afternoon, he had very nearly shoved a handful of cat food into his mouth. Sure he was used to fasting and going without, but five days was pushing it, especially when he wasn't spending it praying and dedicating himself to God. He worked on the breadline every morning feeding the hungry, and he had wanted to take one of the bags of food himself for the past few mornings. That just wasn't good enough. He knew it was temptation, but was reaching out for help like giving in?
Turns out he didn't much care any more. His Brothers who had always taken on the responsibility of feeding Francis weren't going to be back until Sunday and by then he would likely be passed out on the floor, or filling his aching belly with dog food.
Thank everything for Andrew, who understood that Francis had no money, nor any food of his own. He lived off the charity of others. He would know 'my fellow monks are away' would mean 'I'm starving here'. And so Andrew was on his way, and Francis simply unlocked the door and sat at his table with a mug of hot water, trying to keep the dizziness at bay as long as he could.
