Emma smiled warmly, but it was tinged with sadness when she glanced over at Aidan. All three of them knew this wedding wasn't going to lead to long-term wedded bliss. Charlotte's symptoms had started, and while Huntington's could sometimes take as long as fifteen years to claim a sufferer's life, half of those were generally spent with no memory of who they were, and no control over motor functions.
