Famine held his gaze for a moment, then gently slid the glass from under his hand, finished it, then set it aside. "Yeah, well," she sighed. "I figured we should talk once we got back from Ireland, but he never called or reached out. I kept trying, but there was just never any response, and then next thing I know, you're here."
She sighed heavily again, leaning back in her chair. "Andrew told you what happened, didn't he." It wasn't a question. Andrew was the only person she'd told, it didn't take a genius to connect the dots.
