Hephaestus hadn't built an automaton for quite a long time, but a while back, he'd gotten it into his head to do so. This one looked much more human than his previous attempts, and he had to admit, he was pleased how well she had turned out.
He had built her from the bones up, crafting her heart with care and shaping her until no one would have guessed her bones were titanium. Magic married with science to produce the woman sitting in front of him, and he watched as she opened her eyes and spoke for the first time.
