Briareos stayed quiet, instructing her with only hand motions where he wanted her to sit and do. He wasn't concerned with comfortability, he just focused on the task. There was nothing but complete silence as he laid out the pattern for her back. He set the needle into the machine. "Don't move," he instructed. There was always a twitch from the moment the needle first touched the skin. He wiped away the blood that pierced through the skin, just being tuning out everything else in the room. When she spoke it broke that veil he'd had around himself. The needle stopped again, and he slipped a little. He was not used to people talking to him about anything more than the weather. He'd have to cover up that mistake, but he stared at her back for a moment or two. "Not really married anymore." He and Ky were complicated.
