He still took her hands, because it was nearly instinctual by now, and besides, he felt like not doing so would just be childish. He couldn't deny that he was disappointed, but he understood why she'd done it. It had been hard to let the twins go, to know that they'd never be able to call them up just to talk, or see if they got married and have children of their own.
