She reached out for Nicholas' hand, squeezing it gently. "And I'm sorry you were taken," she told him. "Really, I mean it. Whatever you need. And let me know when that starts to run low, I can make some more for you."
His last sentence, though, made her pause. "Sometimes I still worry...the little ones seem happy enough, but sometimes I think Jesse still isn't totally comfortable with me being around again. And I don't blame him, he thought I was dead, and then all of a sudden: surprise! I'm not actually dead, and we're all in the same city." She shook her head. "I'm being silly, I know."
