"Arigatoo gozaimasu," Raiden said with a little bow. She took his hand gently and smiled even more brightly. She was a sore spot in her pantheon, entirely too bubbly for any of them to handle. The only thing that gave away that telling sign she was a child of the sea were those piercing blue eyes uncommon to her side of the ocean. Her mother had built her head with wonderful fantasies of her father and the immortal world around her, but she had failed to teach her there was pain, loneliness, and those that would hurt her. Raiden had learned those lessons only after coming to America and meeting her father. She'd gained one parent and not long after lost the other.
Her smile faded very sharply when she noticed the cat. It had been a Japanese cat demon that had eaten her mother and destroyed her life just a few years ago. So, bubbly as she was she was wary of cat's. "He doesn't eat humans does he?" She turned back to look at the pretty boy and tried not to think of the painful things that tried to cling to her bright little soul. "Yes, yes, they are edible." She handed him the box. "I made them myself."
