Who: Raiden and Vepar
What: Boats and ships
When: This evening
Where: Boat slip 42
Well, stupid cat, it looked like they were receiving more company. Just this past week, even Beelzebub had visited Vepar's houseboat, making it rock by means other than the water it rested in. The weekend had arrived, seeing Vepar bored and thinking of ways in which to make an accident happen to a certain shipyard foreman. Slip and falls were common enough, but they were boring and Vepar could do with a little more excitement than that.
The girl, Raiden, was a name he knew and knew well enough to know better than to push his luck with. Vepar may have controlled war ships and sometimes the weather, but Poseidon ruled the seas. But did that stop Vepar from coaxing the girl over? It did not and it also took very little convincing to get her to come over. All he'd had to do was mention ships.
He was on the deck of his boat, having his third glass of chilled wine. The cat was resting, a big fat orange blob of fur, on the amidship. The sun was still up, but it would be settling soon. There was still a good hour left, though, so Vepar was still in his shades and boat shorts. He had half a mind to go for a dip and let his fins out for a spell, but he thought better for it for the time being.
