It was true Achilles had been on a downward spiral for some time now. Nothing seemed to be true to himself anymore. He was angry, and he was at a distance from those he'd loved the most. His mother, and especially his brother. He hadn't called Patroclus any sentiment lately at all, he'd kept him at arms length as his cousin moved on to have a seemingly normal life---something Achilles found very difficult.
What his brother could not say to him online made him question the offense. What was going on that it had to be spoken in person. Achilles wasn't sure he wanted to even see him face to face. He was still angry. He might just punch him in the face.
