WHEN: Thursday night
WHERE: Their house

Svetlana cried out as she woke up, and it honestly took several moments to realise she was safe in Azrael's house. She was in America and she lived with someone who had pledged to take care of her. No longer was she in Russia, locked in a tiny room and forgotten, sometimes starved, sometimes beaten for bothering to speak up.
Even with the knowledge that she was in a safe place, Svetlana could feel her heart pounding against her ribcage. She uttered a curse word in Russian, under her breath, and then slipped out from under her blankets.
She had never done so before, but Svetlana felt like she honestly just might go crazy if she sat alone in her room any longer. She could turn the lights on, or fire up Netflix, but that wouldn't change the fact that there was no one there for her. She had been alone for weeks on end in Russia. All she wanted now was to see Azrael, even if it meant waking him up.
God she hoped he wouldn't change his mind and punish her for being disobedient.
Slowly, she padded down the hall to Azrael's room, the floor cold against the soles of her bare feet. She wrapped her arms around herself and wished for just a moment that she had worn a longer nightie. Opening Azrael's door ever so slightly, she stuck her face in the crack. "Azrael?" she whispered, hoping it would be enough to wake him. "I'm so apologies."
