She didn't want to hear him say her name. He sounded like he actually cared. She wasn't buying into that. It wasn't usual her way to be so distant, she normally had a nice warm glow, but he brought out something cold in her. He'd burned her. He'd burned her hard. "I am quite well." She said softening her smile a little, if only to see that he wasn't going to penetrate the wall she'd put up in her mind from him.
"I'm sure he has." Most everything she said was another stab to him because just twenty months ago he'd been none of those things. He was as much the villain as he had made himself. She had done none of that.
