WHO: Greta & Hati
WHEN: Tuesday night
WHERE: A street in the Bronx
WHAT: Greta should have taken the warning.
WARNINGS: Wolfie Murder
It had been Greta's best Christmas in years. She'd spent it warm around the living room fire with her dad and her uncle and, later in the night, Frederick had come to join them. She couldn't deny that she'd fallen for him completely and his almost old world manners and obvious adoration for Greta seemed to make a good impression on the Grimms.
Tonight she wore the pearl necklace that Frederick had given her that night and as they walked from the restaurant back towards her apartment they talked about the idea of going away for the weekend. Somewhere warm and new, somewhere where they could both escape the hassles of their daily lives.

Hati had heard nothing back from Skoll, and hadn't seen Little Red back at the pack. Which meant that she had ignored his threat, and ignored her place in the pack. The solution was to remove the one who was taking Little Red away and make her remember who she truly was, and who she belonged to.
Following them in the city was hard, but not impossible.
When he'd found a suitable location he ran at the mortal man on all fours. Growling he went to bite at the man's leg. He was like any prey. Remove the ability to run, and he'd go down easier.

It wasn't until Frederick cried out that Greta realised what was happening and that her talk with Skoll had done nothing. This wasn't supposed to be happening! This was supposed- Greta was supposed to be with her Prince now and happy away from the wolves!
"No!" Greta screamed at the wolf and did the first thing she could think to do, which was throw herself at the Hati. Let him attack her instead, but not Frederick. He was on his knees and Greta could see the blood when she cast a quick glance behind her. She tried to dig her fingers into Hati's thick fur to hold him away. "Don't do this!"

He was a bit surprised when Little Red clung to him, but he didn't go to hurt her. She belonged to them, and while she'd strayed she was no different then the pups. A nip and a growl, and she'd be straightened out.
He huffed, because if she'd listened he wouldn't be here, and wiggled out of her grasp. She was mortal and couldn't hold him. He growled and bared his fangs before looking to the mortal and that growl was different and meant death.

"No no no," Greta begged, scrambling to try and grab Hati again, to stop him. Her words tumbled over each other desperately. "No Hati please don't please don't do this Frederick run! Just run!"
Frederick didn't know what was going on, but he also knew that he wouldn't leave the woman he loved get mauled by this wild animal. "Greta, be careful!" he said, pulling himself up. His leg was bleeding and standing on it made him grit his teeth at the flash of pain.

He ducked out of the way of the grab and growled, pulling on Greta's sweater to pull her down. '
Stay
,' but he realized she couldn't hear him so he just flattened his ears. He hoped she'd get the hint.
He ran back at the mortal man, to jump against his chest so the man would fall down and he could snap his teeth around his neck.

Greta hit the cement hard as she was yanked down, her hands grazing. Frederick had moved to protect her, thinking to get between her and the beast. But instead it jumped at him and he made a yelp of fear that turned to a shriek as teeth dug into his throat.
"HATI! NO!" Blood spurted and Frederick made a horrible sound but Greta found she couldn't move from where Hati had thrown her.

He used gravity and his own weight to pull the man down. Hati knew how to kill, and this was quick. He'd give this mortal that. With quick bites he bit the throat open before raising his head and looking at Little Red. This wouldn't have happened if she'd just stayed home, with them.
He licked his nose and walked off the body, listening for the sounds of other mortals coming to investigate this.

Greta had never felt more helpless in her entire life. Hati looked at her and she met his eyes with tearful horror. Frederick was silent and she didn't have to check. She knew he was dead.
She shook her head and mouthed 'no' though her tears before crawling across the freezing ground to the dead man. There was blood splattered across his clothes but Greta still lay her head down on Frederick's chest and sobbed.

So far, so good. Soon though, soon mortals would come to check it out. but what could they say? A giant wolf had attacked this mortal? There were no wolves in New York, after all.
He padded over to her and took her wrist into his jaws, as gently as he would carry a pup, and started to tug. She had to come with him now.

Greta turned to look at the wolf and then wrenched her wrist free of him, his teeth tearing through her skin as she did so. She didn't care.
"Don't you ever touch me!" she screamed and then, because she could do nothing else, she closed her fist and struck out against his face as hard as she could. "I hate you! I hate you! Somebody help me!" He last words were a desperate moan towards the sky.

He whimpered as she struck him and shook his head. She was making no sense right now. He growled before stepping back. He'd come get her later. Maybe she'd have more sense then.
He spared a look at the mortal before running off, before someone thought to put him in chains.
