Peleus was silent. Even when they got to her place he was a stone statue. Was his son really so hateful to him, that this rivalry for his mother had ballooned into something darker than hades itself? What was it that Achilles was so angry at? Peleus or the fact that his mother had a happiness he couldn't even touch right now?
It really perturbed Peleus and he couldn't wrap his head around the fact that he was now an enemy in his own son's book--for doing nothing more than making an honest woman of his mother a second time.
