Jayden did his best to smile back, but he knew he hadn't really succeeded. It wasn't fair. He was finally free to live whatever life he wanted, and he seemed unable to find any joy in it. He really liked David, there was no doubt about that in his mind. When he was with David all the terrible things seemed like they had been put on pause. He knew, however, that the moment he returned home it would all come rushing back.
"Uhm...okay," Jayden shrugged, removing his jacket and hanging it up. "You? You look really nice."
