The word 'cancer' was still terrifying, and it didn't make her feel any less afraid. Possibly more. He told her she had cervical cancer and had to take a breath. The rest of the explanations she kind of zoned out through, but did note they'd worried it had been ovarian, which was apparently much worse, and much more aggressive as that wasn't found until much later. This type was something they could fight.
