And there's only so much you can take before you just stop caring. She got angry, and then she simply became indifferent. As long as he leaves her alone, she just doesn't care."
"Learning to deal with Poseidon takes time," she answered, with a slightly rueful smile. "It's sink or swim with him, sometimes literally. I suppose I'm fortunate that I've always been a good swimmer. It took many, many encounters over the years to show him that I wasn't afraid of him, that I wouldn't back down just because he raged at me. It's not cowardice to admit you don't know what to do.
