Daphne's job was pretty easy. Make sure no one got sun stroke, keep them on the tracks, check permits, and keep everyone as away from the wolves as possible. With their greater numbers, it was harder, but at least she'd had some agreement with one of the immortal ones.
Plus she got to be outside almost every day. It was a benefit. She'd also spotted the hunter a few hours ago and with the season not started she'd sighed and started after it. When she came close she made a point to make a lot of noise, and to come behind him. No need for an arrow in her.
He was immortal, like her, but she still crossed her arms and cleared her throat. "Season's not started. Plus I'm going to need your permit."
