Thetis just laughed. "I'm old enough that I don't care anymore," she joked. "I've lived so many lives, counting up the years just slows me down."
The table required a few quarters to dispense the pool balls, so she dug in her purse for some change and fed it to the machine. She reached for a rack and started placing them inside, placing the cue ball off to the side.
