WHO: Greed & Zoe
WHEN: Saturday
WHERE: Island
WHAT: Swim lessons
WARNING: Talk of murder
They were still trapped on an island with Theseus. It took a lot of coaxing abs patience from Zoe to keep Greed there as he still thought the Greek would leave them there.
Today Zoe had insisted on teaching Greed to swim. He still was not convinced that she was going to get him into the water. But the sun was basking him into a nice little tan. Nothing orange like the sprays, but a soft kiss from the sun.

Zoe changed into a different top, this one had lace on the sides that hinted at her skin and her short shorts still showed off her long naked legs. She squeezed his hand, "It'll be nice.. the water will be refreshing and you can show off your great tan." she moved backwards along the sand towards the water, "Just start with getting your feet wet at least?"
_____________________________________
"As long as in not orange." He'd hate to look like a sideshow freak with a bad tan. Greed stood in his superhero shorts daunted by this massive ocean. It looked calm but he hated it nonetheless. He inched forward, his feet lapped by the water until he was up to his knees.

"You look golden and delicious." she said with a grin and kept holding his hand, "See, not so bad, right?" the waves were pretty small where they were standing. "You wanna try going up to your waist?" she wouldn't push him if he didn't.

"No better color to be." Gold was definitely the best. It was crisp, inviting...and he looked good in it. It was warm so the water felt good the more he stepped into it. It cooled him off. Eventually he was up to his waist and she had nothing but a naked torso to salivate over.

She smiled, pretty proud of him to make it out this far. "Okay, next, try to get used to being under water. Try this." she kept a hold on his hand but took a deep breath and went under herself, just her. She stayed under for a few seconds and then burst back up, her lashes coated with ocean water, her hair slicked back and her lips right on his for a salty kiss.

Her lips just glided right off his, surprisingly warm. When he opened his eyes there was something incredibly sexy about water raining down her face.
He took a deep breath and followed her demonstration, the water rolling off him when he came back up, that perfect pout a little pinker than usual.

She looked thrilled when he did it and gave him another wet kiss, "You look really sexy all tan and wet.." she murmured against his lips, one hand still playing with his, being his life support.

"Do I?" His words hummed off his lips, the smallest hint of tongue leaving a wet lick on her plump lips. Salt and vanilla. It was a lot more flavorful than he'd expected. But, in all fairness he was obsessed with her and it was the only reason he stepped a little further in because she was with him.

She nodded with a grin. She took his other hand and said, "This time, let's both go under together, okay?" she kept her eyes on his and counted slowly, "1...2...3..." before taking a breath and disappearing under the water with him. She kept her eyes open and if he did, he'd see a vision under water because in all the ways he'd ever seen, he'd never seen her in the element she was born in.

He dive down with her, his grip on her hands tight. There was a moment of serenity while they were underneath the ocean, but it all ended the minute he couldn't breathe anymore and he went sailing back up, looking a little pale. There was the memory there I'd him drowning Stella, and he could see her losing her breath.

She expected panic and him not to like it so immediately broke the surface of the water after him, wiping her face before she put her arms around him, "Chance? You're okay, you're okay... I got you." they were both fine, she wanted him to know that.
_____________________________________
He wasn't choked up but he still felt like he couldn't breathe. It was a little too close to home with what he'd done. He'd felt bad about it before, but being under water seeing the world below did not last in its peacefulness. He just needed to catch his breath now that she had him.
_____________________________________
She kept him close to her and kissed his cheek, "Talk to me.." she said softly. She wanted him to get out of his own head, if he shared what he was thinking and feeling then maybe he wouldn't drown in his thoughts.
_____________________________________
"I thought it would have been more peaceful than that when I held her under water." He looked confused as he brought up Stella. They'd talked about that time before. He didn't want to live it again.
_____________________________________
She shivered inwardly when she realized he was talking of his past murder. She touched his cheek, and she'd never told him it was okay before, she wouldn't tell him it was okay now, what she did say was the truth, "Murder is never peaceful... no matter how it's done."
_____________________________________
It wasn't what he'd wanted to hear. "I didn't want to, I had to..." she had been in his way, Greed had lashed out to keep what meant the most to him at the time. He'd do the same if someone came between him and Zoe. She always made him look at things from a different perspective. He didn't want to keep feeling guilty.
_____________________________________
"There's always a choice.. and making excuses won't help." she said gently. She made sure to stay close to him so he wouldn't feel repulsive or rejected. She kept her arm around him, "And the only reason you'd try to justify it is if you felt bad about what happened..." she was guessing at that but Greed was the one who said he rarely felt remorse or guilt.
_____________________________________
Stella wasn't there, it was Zoe but when Greed apologized he was looking for some sort of acceptance. He made excuses for anything that he wanted and Zoe was good for bringing him down to that human side of him that hated putting himself into those situations. Greed was fascinated by humans and their ability to suck in everything like a sponge. He used it to his advantage and sometimes there were casualties.

She kissed his cheek and looked in his eyes, "We can't change the past, just learn from it. Remember what I told you before, you can't replace memories but you can make new ones?" maybe that was something he could do with the water. Leave to rest the graveyard it was and turn it into something full of life and love with her.
_____________________________________
He nodded in reply to her as if he'd been scolded and was taking in the repercussions of his actions. He wasn't used to taking responsibility for things of such a nature. The Sin moved on and kept going. The more human side was left in a dark corner somewhere to dwell while the rest of him moved on. He wanted new memories because he didn't often feel guilty for his actions, but even Sins could have an Achille's Heel.
_____________________________________
She smiled a little and stroked his cheek, the water bobbing around them, "Wanna make some new memories?"
_____________________________________
"Yes." He looked a little broken hearted. He didn't want to think of these things when trying to enjoy something for what it was.
_____________________________________
Zoe kept a gentle hold on him and made him go down into the water until they were till their necks. "Keep your eyes open." When he was ready, she took a breath and went under with him and instead of the dead face of Stella, it was Zoe's face, she moved closer and kissed him under the water, something loving to replace all the darkness that had polluted the water for him all these years.
_____________________________________
Everything with Zoe was something new. It was fresh and kept those pesky humany feelings at bay that he didn't want to think about. Instead it focused him on those humany feelings he DID want to think about. Her face and her lips were a perfect combination to drag him out of that death grip Stella had had him in for years and gave him something new to focus on. When they resurfaced he was a little calmer than he'd been the last time.
_____________________________________
She smiled, proud of him for giving it another chance. She gave him another kiss above water but it was still salty and wet. "What're you thinking about?" he'd stayed so quiet still, it was always so unlike him.
_____________________________________
Greed licked his lips, wiping the salt off with his tongue. "I'm thinking it doesn't taste like I thought it would." But it wasn't Stella. That memory wax starting to fade...
_____________________________________
She laughed a little, "What did you think it'd taste like?" she slicked his hair back with her hands and settled them at the base of his neck, knowing that he was still in that somber place of mind.
_____________________________________
"Like wrinkled salty skin. Instead it's like a margarita." Part of that was that it was Zoe. It still smelled like fish, but the water here was blue and pure. It was not like the dreary, gray lake water from Stella's last day.
_____________________________________
She wrinkled her nose, "That is gross... but yes, it's refreshing. Not at all like the weirdness you thought it was." the waves pushed against her, making her bump into his body, "Okay, I wanna teach you how to float so you can never drown if you fall into the water. I think your fear of drowning is where you get a big part of your hatred for the water."
_____________________________________
"Is this gonna be like titanic?" He didn't know anything about floating except that you needed life jackets or grab to grab onto something. He held on to her hips, hands using her as a his flotation device.
_____________________________________
She laughed, "No, there's no door." she showed him how she floated on her back by kicking her feet up and proper breathing so her body literally floated on top of the water. "Ready to try?"
_____________________________________
He watched her curiously, patting at her hand as she went by. He was kind amazed that she could lay do still and not fall under. "How'd you do that??" He pointed at her but she was back on her feet waiting for him.
_____________________________________
She smiled, "Ah, you seem intrigued." she slicked her hair back and moved to his side, "Take a breath and kick your legs up, then spread out your arms and legs starfish style. You WILL sink a bit on the first try but the key is to NOT panic. I'm gonna put my hands under your back and keep you up, okay?" she looked him in the eye, "I will not let anything happen to you."
_____________________________________
He was intrigued. Very intigued. It seemed impossible that he could float without any plastic on his arms to hold him up. "I'm heavy..." He took her word for it though and laid back taking a deep breath. Once he was on the water he did sink a little as she'd said, but with her hands there and his kicking feet he didn't drop. When he felt like he would he looked up to her.
_____________________________________
"Trust me." she put her hands under the water, at the base of his lower back when he finally got on his back and started to float, "Relax... relax.." she used one hand to calm his legs, "Starfish pose...." and then she smiled down at him when he opened his eyes, "Hey handsome."
_____________________________________
It was weird at first that bizarre flying feeling, but once he was stable it felt pretty good. His arms went out and he was ready for anything. "I'm flying!" He grinned at her with that white-toothed smile.
