She nodded, "okay. This isn't an excuse though it's an explanation." she wanted her friend to know that. She could hardly condone their actions, but she could understand. "Hecate's a triple goddess. Every season, she's different. Winter, she's dark and terrifying. Spring she's more young. Summer and Autumn are kind of mixes." She waved her hand.
"The blood thing's for a reason. No matter what, this girl is family and Hecate takes that very seriously. Especially if she's young. The whole cannot hide thing is a good thing in it's own way." She held up her hand. "It's magic don't make me explain it and like I said, explanation, not excuse. But there's worse out there." She get a distant look in her eyes and she touched her own shoulder. "Hecate often gets called to find people who go missing. She searched high and low for you. With the blood, she'll always know where we are. In her own way, it's to keep us safe. OR to get us found, if something ever took us."
She gave a tiny smile, "it's the only reason I'm considering giving her some of Deirdre's. But Hecate doesn't do social in winter. Usually it's why we're there. To explain and guide. It's not right how she did it, not at all, but that's why she took the blood."
She sighed, "Greeks are complicated that way. If Papou doesn't care, you can't force him. If she wants him to care, we can help. Favorites go both ways. And I promise I wouldn't let anything bad happen to her." Then she raised an eyebrow. "My aunt is younger then I am. Jesus, my family."
She sighed, "Mom might be weirded out but here? She's welcome. I'm on her side, for what it counts." She smiled, "hopefully. I want to help though."
