"I'm not sure...a few weeks ago?" he guessed. "She made her ghosts appear, and Roxanna saw them, and she got freaked out. That was her introduction to this crazy world we live in. And she reacted pretty badly, she's 18 and her whole world just got turned upside down. Hecate had those ghosts hold her there, and then she stole some of her blood, so she'd never be able to hide." He sighed, biting the head off a duck cookie. "If I was in her shoes, I'd probably get mouthy too. Anger is easier to default to than fear."
"I know that, and you know that, but apparently it was made very plain to her that even if she was pissed at Hermes for never being there, to leave the three of you out of it, since you're his favorites. And I know you wouldn't do anything like that, of course you wouldn't. But she doesn't know any better, and she sent me a text the other day. I was asking her if she was sure I shouldn't talk to you about this, and she said something like, 'Yeah, I'm 120% sure. I'm only 18, I'd like to live to see 19'."
He shook his head. "She's come by the house a few times, it seems to make her feel better. Lena stuffs her with food and they talk about music. Everybody wins."
