Who: Urania and Clio Where: Clio's place When: Sunday What: Muse Reunions
Spring was never easy for her. Nor was the start of summer, but it always hurt to be reminded of Hyakinthos' death, and how she'd failed to keep her son safe. Having her children die had never gone over easily, and it made her a bit more nervous with Ella. But, luckily, Jacob was wonderful with it all and Ella was the picture of a healthy baby. She distracted herself with buying flowers and playing with her daughter. Normally she'd get drunk, but right now she had Ella. And that helped more then anything.
The knock got her out of her thoughts and she sat up, handing her daughter a toy. Most of her family and friends had keys so she frowned. It certainly felt familiar enough. With a shrug she opened the door and with a sharp cry of happiness threw herself at her younger sister. "Urania," she whispered into her sisters shoulders, clinging a little. "Oh my sweet little star I didn't even know you where here."
"Surprise!" Urania called, hugging Clio right back. "I just got transferred to the city and I had to come meet my niece." She also wanted to keep her sister from getting too sad. "I've missed you!"
She kept the hug, perhaps a little too long, before drawing back. She missed all her sisters when they weren't in range, and she'd known that once Poly returned to them, the others would filter back to her. "I missed you too." Smiling she set her hands on her sister's cheek before letting her inside.
"Do you have a place to stay?" She'd ran out of rooms, but she'd make space. Then she kneeled down and picked her daughter up. "Say hello to your Aunt Urania love. She'll teach you about the stars."
"I have an apartment in DUMBO but it's not furnished yet. I could invade you for a few days if you wanted!" That way she could watch over Clio as well.
When Urania laid eyes on Ella she grinned. "Hello, baby!"
She nodded, "if you like. It's just the couch though. Both Poly and Euterpe are here. They'll be so happy to see you." Smiling she shifted Ella on her lap. "This is Ella." The girl studied the new person before smiling at her. "and she's friendly, as you can tell. Where are you working now?"
"The sofa is fine," Urania assured her. "I would just love to catch up and get to know this princess," Urania stroked Ella's hair. "I got a job at an observatory, which pleases me."
She was happy Urania would be here. She had her extended family, but only her fellow Muses really got her. They'd all lost and lamented. They were Greek, it was par the course.
"Well she's part immortal writer. She's going to grow up to become quite wonderful." She smiled at her sister, "would you like to hold her? And good. I'm glad you have that. We have more then enough writers here, immortal and otherwise, to help as well."
