The snow was a little bothersome, but she'd lived in hills where sometimes the door had been unable to be opened due to the massive amounts of snow. Where all there was was a small cabin, that had quickly become all the smaller. Now she had distractions and even a little business. The winter still made her sad and depressed, but she forced herself to go out and smile at her customers.
She'd be damned if she let a little curse made her entire life miserable. But she was still pleased to see her home. She didn't drive, New York was bad enough on good days with snow it seemed outright dangerous, so the public transportation had taken her a bit. She rubbed her hands before she unlocked the door and stepped gratefully into the warmth. She wasn't sure if Perseus was home but she did call out that she was.
She smiled as Gandalf ran into her and jumped all over her. "Hello baby." she offered warmly, scratching and offering him the attention he was craving. She'd become settled with the idea that having children would be hard for her, and she might never have them, so she gave all her maternal affection to the dog. Sometimes she toyed with the idea of adoption, but was never sure how to go about it.
She hung up her coat once she'd petted the dog and then walked into the kitchen. "Hungry baby? I am." Even though she'd spend all her day baking she still enjoyed making meals.
