It had started as a good day. At 28 weeks, she was pretty obviously far along, so people offered her a bit of a leeway as she walked. She'd gone out for the excersize, and honestly a bit of cabin fever, and for some light shopping. She wasn't going to go too far, and she had her phone with her if she needed a pick up. Her main focus was to find something for Victor. Jamie's present was already sorted and she hoped it'd help make him feel better. Her sister's presents were also already sorted and she hoped they'd like it. Her parents would receive their own soon, if the post cooperated with her as she hoped it would.
Bundled up in a comfy, big jacket she hummed along to the tunes she overheard from the stores feeling pretty into the whole spirit of the season. When she stopped at a display of a small baby store she smiled. She already had plenty of supplies (and more onesies then she figured they might need), but it was still nice to look. Everything was pretty much about babies now. It was only when she heard someone say, "tsk look at that" that she looked up.
An older gentlemen in business attire was sneering at her, and almost instinctively she set her hand on her stomach. She was about to respond when the man said, "what do you think you're doing, looking at that? You can't afford that, you probably live on stamps. Trash like you always does. Thinking people like me will just always provide as you hold out your hands. How many do you have already huh? And how many are from different dads? Probably four huh?"
She'd encountered this before, but never this aggressively. "You shouldn't judge people," she said. She didn't deal with this type very well. "Why not," the man said. "Unlike you, I matter. And I make plenty of money. You people should know your place." That made her tense and she frowned. She usually defended herself against this, but she was more emotional right now.
