WHO: Envy & Lust WHEN: Monday night WHERE: Fancy restaurant WHAT: Sibling meet up WARNING: Stabbing, blood
Envy had already slithered into two of his siblings lives, easily upsetting Greed. Part of Envy's game was to always cause discord, his own siblings were no exception. They were part of his bigger web. Lust was the perfect candidate to hit when Greed thought he had the world. Greed would come in time.
He'd followed her in the shadows at a distance that she couldn't see and possibly didn't even feel. Seeing her however had instilled those long jealous desires. It made him angry, but he wouldn't react quickly like his brother. Envy was slow and methodical. She was with someone, human by the looks of his slapstick smile and nice clothes. This should be fun to ruin. The two were at least into dinner by the time Envy came in, dressed nothing like the high dollar crooks inside. He had the money so they did seat him where he could see Lust from an ariel view, but she couldn't see him.
_______________________________________ Lust was having dinner with someone who was rich and handsome and mortal and married. He was considering giving his wife another chance, and Lust offered to consul him off the clock. And she was sure it would go from on the couch to on the bed by the end of the night. She wore a dress that had cutouts in all the right places, a ring that could give you a black eye, and snake skin heels that hinted at her true nature. Most men's attention in the restaurant was on her and she was used to it. As far as her siblings were concerned, Lust considered herself one of the more powerful Sins, her idiot brothers and sisters couldn't touch her. _______________________________________ He watched them with utter disgust. Lust had her own web, but Envy wanted to rip it loose, one strand at a time.
He did notice one woman in particular kept looking over, not sure if it was for Lust or the man at her dinner table. He caught her glancing upward and his eyes flashed green. She knew the man. Maybe he could use her as bait before Lust caught on to him being there. _______________________________________ Envy's flash of green sent a small ping on Lust's sibling radar. Someone from her family was here. And how rude, they didn't want to say hello. Which only meant one thing, they were here to ruin her good time. Which was also rude. She dabbed at her lips with her napkin but did nothing... yet. _______________________________________ Envy watched down below, rolling his flat silver rings in circles around his thumb. He wasn't flashy like Lust. He looked more like a student out of highschool attempting to look scary with his black leather jacket and long hair.
The woman got up out of her seat grabbing Lust's date by the arm. She didn't want to let go, but one look at Lust made her feel inferior. Envy grinned taking the opportunity to get in close range. _______________________________________ Lust didn't cause a fuss when the woman grabbed her date's arm. She gave the woman a look that could make most people stop cold and then Lust smiled. Which was a smile that could kill kittens. "Take him." she said, "Be grateful." because she had a bigger fish to fry right now. She picked up her fork and knife, cutting another piece of her steak as the man started to say something but Lust waved a hand, "Leave." and as they skirted to get away, Lust cut another piece of the steak and raised her brows saying calmly but loudly enough for Envy to hear, "Stop skulking in the shadows, brother dear, this is a classy place." and now there was a free seat at her table. _______________________________________ He emerged at the other end. He'd been waiting for that seat. He sighed heavily eyeing the still half steak on the plate in front of him. "You could still chase after him." He waved his hand in the air, but the man and his new date were out of the restaurant by now. The fact Lust was out without her dearest Greed. That was good. _______________________________________ Lust scoffed, "I do not chase." ugh, he was such a vulgar little rat. She'd never chased after anything in her life. Look at her, she didn't need to. "You can finish his meal if you want, since you're used to scraps." She looked at him and popped a piece of her own steak into her mouth, the fork shining as it slid out from between her lips. _______________________________________ He cut into the meat, stabbing a hunk with his fork as if it were a chunk of flesh. It was rare. Just the way he liked it. "Going home alone?" He couldn't imagine her wanting to, he thought as he ran the piece of meat in its own bloody juices, sopping it like a dirty napkin. _______________________________________ She had a slight look of disgust on her face as she observed his table manners, "Not going home with you." was her response. She might go alone, she might not. She needed attention... but when she wanted it. Sometimes Lust liked to be on her own. As long as she knew she wanted. And really she didnt have to take more than a few steps in any direction to have someone who wanted to be with her. _______________________________________ Lust always turned him down. No matter how many times he tried to get in her bed she never let him. It didn't mean he ever stopped trying. He watched her with disgusting curiosity as she slid the fork in and out of her mouth for a new bite, probably just to annoy him.
"Who said I was offering up my place." He was sure hers was posh and expensive. She would never live in a hole. _______________________________________ Her nose turned up at the thought of it, "I wouldn't set a toe near your dirty flea infested place if you offered it up on a silver platter." she sliced her steak with the precision of someone who was an expert with a knife, "I sleep on sheets that are worth more than whatever hovel you're holed up in." _______________________________________ He looked up after stuffing his mouth with a fat piece of steak, the juice dribbling down his chin in a red line. "Egyptian cotton?" He snorted in amusement. It sounded like a nice change from his hotel asylum. _______________________________________ She picked up a napkin and threw it in his face, "You'll never know." sometimes she couldn't believe that he was one of the seven. Lust was... open about what she did, Envy was a slimy toad and she wanted to stamp him under her heel until the ooze burst out of him. Not that he'd done anything to piss her off yet but whenever he showed up, he always dragged along trouble. _______________________________________ He sat back scrubbing off the juice, nowhere near as demure as his sister. "Why don't you cry to Greed for attention. I bet he won't answer." Greed was busy with something, Envy had every intention on ruining it. Greed always was a sore spot on his heel. _______________________________________ She smiled slowly, she enjoyed when people were annoyed at her expense, it meant she was doing something right. "Awww... jealousy is such an ugly color." she sipped her scotch, "I don't cry. And certainly not for attention." she tilted her head, "I could have every man and woman in this restaurant want me so bad that they'd rip you limb from limb if I told them to." _______________________________________ "And I'd turn them on each other just as fast." Envy was in no way daunted by her threats. It was hot air and if she did manage he'd come back just as hard as ever. "You want a massacre tonight?" He seemed giddy with the light in his eyes. Normally they were a dull brown, but when Envy had a prospect they stayed an emerald green, as they were now. _______________________________________ She eyed him like he was an annoying child, "No. You'd enjoy it too much." it was only fun if the other person didn't want it to happen. And if Envy wanted it, Lust was only going to deny him. _______________________________________ "Not even a little blood?" He licked the bloody juices leftover on his fork with a pleased noise. It might light her fire. She was forever deflecting him and he would continue to make her squirm in disgust. _______________________________________ "Not even a drop. Unless its yours." she gestured at his plate, "You're having a lovely meal and are in my presence. Really, Envy, you are the envy of everyone here, doesn't that quell your vicious appetitie?" she knew it didnt but she liked reminding him he didnt have everything. _______________________________________ "Nothing quells my appetite." He took a finger to mop up what was left of the juice off his plate and licked. He stared right at her as he put his finger in his mouth, just as she had done earlier with her fork. _______________________________________ When Lust did the fork in her mouth thing it was sexy, when Envy did it he looked like a retarded child. She leaned forward and grabbed his hand by pinching it between her fingers, yanking on it so his finger popped out of his mouth. She looked like an irritated mother with a child who kept repeating a disgusting habit, "Stop that, you're going to make me throw up." _______________________________________ He leaned over the table, swiping his thumb over her perfect lipstick and taking his hand back. He hated her perfectness. Everything about her that made him want her. "Wouldn't want to ruin that pretty face." He could peel it off with his fork. _______________________________________ She looked repulsed, "Ugh!" she grabbed her napkin and scrubbed it across her lips, wiping the lipstick off as well. She flicked open her clutch, took out her lipstick and glared at him, "Do. Not. Touch. Me. Ever." disgusting toad. She looked at her reflection in the silver ice bucket and parted her lips, lining them perfectly again and applying lipstick was even sexier than her wearing it. _______________________________________ "I think you like it," he rubbed the bit off on his own lips closing his eyes so he could imagine devouring her face. He would always come after her with the thoughts that he could get what he wanted of her. _______________________________________ She applied the lipstick still, carefully, "You also think you aren't a slimy, gross, repulsive little toad." she pressed her lips in and then looked at him, "So you're wrong about a lot of things." _______________________________________ Envy's eyes snapped open as she insulted his looks, narrowing them at her like a killer ready for the precise cut. "I am what I am. One day you'll like it." Greed wouldn't be enough. Greed would be gone. _______________________________________ She gave him a bored look. His serial killer ways didn't scare her in the least. "No, Envy. I won't. I reject you. I always have. I always will." she smiled viciously like a five year old who had just snatched candy from a baby and was now eating it in front of them, "You can't have me even in your dreams." _______________________________________ "If having you is the way you imagine it." His grin fattened but it was freakish, entirely too uncomfortable for a normal person to take. The smile flattened and returned to that usual creepy face, his tongue poking forward to lick his upper lip as he looked at her without a blink. "My fantasies usually involve pain...." he leaned in so that his face was within reach, "like gutting you like a fish." He was a reptile, he wanted to rip everything to shreds. _______________________________________ She smirked and made a poor baby face at him, "Such a shame you won't ever get to live them out. You can't touch me because you're a vile little snake and I will crush you if you do. So shut up. Eat your food, lick the plate like the animal you and slink off into the night." _______________________________________ "I'm not one of your children." His jab at Greed and Gluttony since she acted as if she pulled their strings without little hesitation. That could be fun to play with later. He made a mental note going for the roll basket and ripping apart a piece of bread, the middle guts being torn to shreds by the time he was done, leaving just the hard shell of bread on the table. He did this to about three different rolls, each time leaving the hard, baked casing of bread on the table like a cat leaving behind it's kills at the doorstep. "You don't bend me to your wishes when it serves you. Greed's your gutless pig." _______________________________________ She kept her cool and picked up her drink to take a ladylike sip, she let him get away with a lot, most things mortals wouldn't dream of but Lust was a family girl. There were things her siblings got to do and say that she wouldn't roast them alive for. She was just caring like that. All she said was, "Don't. Push it." Greed was a sore spot at the moment. She didn't feel like defending him. _______________________________________ Envy wasn't done just pulling out the bread stuffing, he took his steak knife and carved out the leftover to eat off the tip. "Ooo, I hit a sore spot." Good. He liked having something to bat around. She couldn't hide behind snarky internet replies here. Here in person he had something to dance on. "Is he still playing dead when you're frisky?" It amused him to see Lust bothered by anyone, especially Greed. _______________________________________ She put her glass down and flicked him a glance with cool green eyes, "I'm warning you, brother dear.." her voice had a sing song quality to it and she again didn't answer him. It suited her purposes for Greed to be busy right now. She wanted him to get close to his mortal. She wanted them both to suffer when the time came and the only way to insure maximum injury was to make them feel safe and cuddly. Disgusting. But it did not mean she wanted to discuss Greed's idiocy or neglect. Especially not with Envy. _______________________________________ "Sounds more like a tease." Envy wasn't about to let her just walk off without something to think about. He had to needle her slowly. He tapped an empty wine glass against the water glass. _______________________________________ Lust inserted her finger under the handle of the steak knife and flipped and turned it so it was now in a way that would be perfect for stabbing someone. In her Lust way, she didn't yell or scream (tho she liked doing those things too) but she did what she did best, exert power as she without a word, slammed the knife down on Envy's hand when he reached for another bread roll. She was slender but she was insanely strong, she didn't have Greed's muscles but she had the strength of them and the knife pierced through his hand (mortal bodies were so flimsy) and the tip embedded into the wooden table under the nice tablecloth. Her fist was tight around the handle and she kept his hand pinned there. _______________________________________ That had been unexpected, he hissed as the knife sunk in. He was thumbtacked to the table without a bat of her disgustingly pretty eyes. He wantrf to carve them out and add it to his bread massacre. The nerves in his hand all screamed in agony but he looked at her with a stone face, only the slight clench of his jaw indicating the pain. "Satisfied?" _______________________________________ To know he was in pain, that just made it worthwhile for Lust. "Satisfied?" she slowly turned the knife in a circle while keeping it embedded in his hand, the blade stayed still but she dug it back and forth to make it hurt more, the sharp edge cutting bit by bit into nerves and tendons. She knew how to make it hurt. Even on a sadistic conisseur like Envy, "Always, darling. But you're boring me and I can't stand that. So here's how we're going to do things. You..." she jammed the knife forward to give him a surge of pain and then opened her palm on the tip of the handle to keep it place, "Are going to leave me alone until I call for you. Yes, I will call for you. I have a.... special gift in mind for you. But the timing is all wrong. And you don't understand how these things require finesse. Class. Things you lack." she wasnt going to let him take his hand back until she felt he understood. _______________________________________ He'd carved up enough flesh to know she was trying to hit the most painful nerves she could. His hand twitched at her precise hack job. He tried to visualize pictures in his head to keep his mind off the throb, but everything in his mind was blood red. "I told you before I'm not your dog. I don't hang on your leash." But he did wonder what she had in mind and what the reward might be. "Don't think I'll do anything for free." _______________________________________ She giggled, "Haven't you heard that the work is it's own reward?" She picked up her scotch with her other free hand, "Trust me, you'll like it. But until then, you stay away from me. I don't want your stink on my clothes. Do you understand?" _______________________________________ Envy cackled choking on his own saliva when a surge went through his arm with pain. "One of these days you won't have eyes to look at me." He'd fuck her one day, it was a lifelong goal if just to make Greed dance with jealousy and her twitch with disgust. _______________________________________ Her eyes flashed with green fire, "I'm going to take that as a 'yes Lust, I understand." she let go of the knife and admired the way it stood straight up without her hand to even hold it. She stood and took the rest of her scotch, hovering it over his hand, "Detestable to see you as always, brother." and she poured the alcohol all over his injured hand so it would burn and cause even more agony. "Don't call me, I'll call you."
