"Your songbird got old," Euterpe told him. "Like we all did. Maybe talk to Thalia over the internet," Euterpe suggested. "Less threatening and it means she can respond in her own time." She smiled shyly at his comment about looking after them and said, "I'm not Calliope, but I try when I can. Everything's different here and it's hard to keep close to everyone."
"Well," Euterpe said, "you should be happy. Your job is hard and you don't ever get time off. So you need some happiness. Should I sing for you, father?"
