Conrad paused setting his drink aside finding he was a little dumbfounded by Natalie's remark. It was no surprise that he wanted to finally ask her to move in, he'd been thinking it for months, but with Natalie there came some guidelines. He didn't want to move too fast just yet and scare her away, it had taken them a long time to get to this point. She had almost lost him for good to her own foolishness, and then his own had also nearly put them both on the chopping block. It was an uphill battle and he didn't want to jump the gun too soon. But, to hear her even suggest it as a future possibility in those two small words, maybe it was the time.
"Do you need some more wine?" Conrad asked Eline, giving him an excuse to get up to fill his own glass with something a little heavier. The nerves were starting to set in. Bolting through the sky was easy, even his bad car habits, but being in such a normal setting with Natalie, it was a tad surreal.
