"Only if he wants to," William answered, and Thomas nodded.
"Of course, Dad." He inched forward to help feed his father. "Is is still hard to swallow?" William nodded, and Thomas' stomach gave a lurch at that. Eventually, it would be hard for him to swallow too. But that day was not today. "We'll go slowly then." Thomas was well used to feeding someone else, though that someone had been a baby at the time. The concept, however, was much the same.
"I should tell Thane stories about you from when I was growing up," Thomas joked.
When William swallowed, he chuckled a little. "Only the good ones."
"Oh, Dad. You know there are only good ones," Thomas said before feeding his father another bite.
