It was nice to know he hadn't been forgotten. There were a lot of memories here, and not all good ones either. One of his old houses was still here, the place where he'd struggled so to accept the fact Virginia wouldn't be by his side for much longer.
But the show was pleasant and he enjoyed it. He could be morose later.
He'd gotten himself some wine and listened to some conversations before someone addressed him. He smiled at the lovely young lady, remembering her as the enthusiast. He'd have to remember to do something nice for her, at the very least for telling him about this. "Hello." Smiling he extended his hand, "seems fate is kind enough then. Annabel, was it?"
