WHO: Hermes, Kat and Victor
WHAT: A badly-injured Hermes checks in on his granddaughter
WHEN: Early Wednesday morning
WHERE: Kat and Victor's
WARNINGS: Mention of injuries, torture, language, etc. Well...it'll be more than MENTIONS of language...
When Hermes had woken up in the hospital, it had taken several hours to even remember who he was, let alone how he had ended up there in the first place. The nurses, who had been referring to him as John Doe, explained that he had been sleeping for days. Someone had found him in an alley way, looking like he had been tortured for several weeks and then dumped.
Well...they weren't wrong.
The memory of what he had suffered at the hands of Satan, Lucifer and Joshua (though mostly the latter and a smattering of minons) had come rushing back. He was a god, and he had been treated as lower than dirt. He had, however, managed to keep his loved ones safe, and that was what mattered to him.
Once the medical personnel stopped fussing, Hermes made his escape from the hospital. It wasn't difficult, being the god of trickery, even though his powers were severely diminished by how weak he was. He found some street clothes to steal and simply walked out the front door.
By the time he reached Kat's apartment, he was ready to curl up in a ball and fall asleep again. Every inch of his body hurt and though he had been cleaned up, it was beyond obvious he had some serious injuries all over him. He was much scrawnier than normal as well, but he would take care of that soon. He had to know his granddaughter was safe.
He knocked, not really caring what time it was. There was nearly a minute of silence, and then a rumpled looking Victor pulled the door open. Hermes watched as Victor's eyes scanned him and then, without hesitating, he called for Kat while reaching out to help Hermes into the apartment.
