Who: Morgan Le Fay and Arthur Pendragon What: Let me ruin your opposition for you When: Wednesday Where: Arthur's office Warnings: TBD
The problem with peace, or the proximity of it, was that Morgan wasn't built for it. Not anymore. Myth and tales had shaped her to be different, to be a thron and to be eternally defeated. The last was less the case nowadays as she wasn't opposing Camelot. She had a measure of happiness, tainted with the knowledge such things never lasted. She wasn't the one who got the happily ever after, even as she burned it for everyone else. No she was the wicked one, destined to bring it all down with her. But that, she could deal with when it all came.
Live for the moment was her philosophy. Burning bridges took time. In the meantime though she had to do something. Sitting idle wasn't something she was good at. She'd already made her path into high society, and knew how to draw attention from those she needed things from. She didn't even need magic to have people flock to her. She could be quite winning when she wished to be. In doing so she'd found the one who would oppose Arthur in his desire to become a D.A.
She was quite aware of the irony there, too. He was a nice enough gentleman, and when she'd first spoken to him she'd found out most of his interests and wishes for the position. She was still amazed how much men were willing to divulge to a woman who they thought had interest.
The next day she had made an appointment at Arthur's office, under a different name for her own amusement, and when she was guided in she didn't bother to hide her smile. She sat down in one of the chairs opposite his desk and almost demurely set her hands in her lap. When the secretary left she turned to Arthur again, "Hello Arthur." Intentionally she used a tone she normally reserved for when he was in her bed, but then smiled again. "I have a proposition for you. One to keep me busy, and you with a shiny new title." She used her normal tone. She wouldn't push issues she knew would send him running to Merlin.
