WHO: Persephone and Hades WHAT: Silliness and cuteness and maybe sexiness WHEN: Wednesday afternoon WHERE: Ploutons manorplace WARNINGS: Possible sexiness, but I don't know. Mostly cute Persephone.
Persephone hadn't ever really celebrated Christmas, being Greek. But this year she was feeling happy and festive. Makaria was with them and she wanted the girl to experience the holiday even if it wasn't something they would often celebrate. Persephone wanted to show her all of the world.
She had tried to order Christmas music CDs online, and Melinoe had informed Hades who had put a stop to it. Now Persephone decided her husband had to suffer for that. She had been shopping a lot lately to provide presents to her family. The songs were catchy. So she appeared in his office, grinning at him while she leaned in the door provocatively. And then she began to sing Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer.
The lights and decorations he could tolerate, as long as nothing was too glaring or too much, but he drew the line at the songs. He didn't mind the season, it was the songs that grated on him.
If Makaria really wanted to experience them, he'd have the girl go out with Persephone. Gods knew everywhere played the damn songs.
So when his wife appeared at his door he raised an eyebrow, assuming one thing then leaning back in his chair at the song. "Really?" Honestly he wouldn't stop her from being cheery but did she really have to go with the Christmas songs? "If this is to help your case, it's not going to work."
Persephone stopped signing and she laughed merrily. "You are so adorable," she said, moving closer to him. "How can you not enjoy the songs?!"
He watched her and smiled, unable to help himself, "only you would say that." He sighed, "too cheery. Too catchy. Too everything that isn't exactly always me. And if you get them stuck in my head I won't be happy." He was joking, really. "No Christmas music."
Persephone moved into the room until she could touch his face and she grinned down at him. "What about winter music? I heard one called Winter Wonderland. I am not sure where this wonderland is, but it was a nice song!"
He leaned into the touch and set his hand on hers. "Technically a Christmas song. It's not like I'm opposed to music, just something that won't make me want to hide." He took her hand and went to pull her closer, "and don't think I don't know when you're trying to manipulate me."
Persephone laughed, well aware that she was entirely transparent. "Ah, you know me so well!"
He grinned and set his hands on her waist, "took me a few decades. I think I figured it out around Orpheus." Despite the shit he got over that, he'd half hoped Orpheus to succeed.
Persephone finally slid into his lap and she laughed. "That makes sense," she said, planting a kiss on his forehead. "So would you wear a jolly hat if I bought you one?"
He put his arms fully around her now she was in his lap and leaned up for a kiss before giving her a look. Then he sighed, "you know I say I won't, but you'll find a way somehow. Favor for a favor, I wear the hat, you wear it." Then he grinned, "and nothing else."
The corner of Persephone's lips curled up into a smile and she raised her eyebrows at him. "That sounds doable," she said with a laugh. "But now I have to find the most ridiculous hat that exists."
He just shook his head, "Damn woman," he'd still do it because now the reward was worth it. Smiling he brushed her hair from her eyes, "let's go somewhere? Makaria likes the snow, and I feel she should experience a good amount of it."
Persephone slid from his lap with a grin. "Sure! Where should we go? We could take her to FAO Schwartz. But you should beware, I am going to sing in your ear..."
He shook his head, "I'll find ways to shut you up then, and I was also considering going up to the mountains. It's hardly snowed here. She seemed excited by the idea." He tended to spoil all of his girls.
