Thomas settled back in against the sofa after he had hugged his sister and he beamed when Lena immediately snuggled up next to him. It was nice not to be confined to a bed, though his doctor had told him not to try to do too much or he could have another seizure and mess everything up.
"You're a goddess," he informed his sister. "Food good. My jeans are threatening to fall off again and I had just fixed it!" It was such a hassle, but less annoying than a bleeding brain in the long run.
"You're like a cooking machine," Charlotte said to her sister. "Meanwhile Lena is trying to peer pressure Tommy into smoking drugs."
