"It's not your business. It's mine. I'm walled up in here all day when I don't go to school. You work all the time. It's not the way I want to live my life John. As some kind of trophy for you to show off when you want and leave when you can't be bothered." That was in fact what it felt like recently. As if he just couldn't be bothered to spend time with her. It had become a 'chore'.
He threw his knife a little deeper and her eyes turned to stone with a heavy cast of her brow. "I'm not here to repay you John. I'm your girlfriend unless that doesn't mean anything to you." She was upset and she felt like she could claw at his eyes for even trying to tell her she was some sort of outcast to society. "Is that why you can't be seen with me anymore? Because I'm not the little rich girl you picked up on New Years?" She shrugged her arms, "I'm just an outcast to you?" She had thought she meant something more to him, but now, after his reaction and trying to cage her she wasn't sure anymore. She already felt the tears start to build up. She was about to cave and just be done with it. "If that's all I am to you then maybe I should leave." She took the cat and stepped back towards the bedroom. She had a suitcase in the closet. She would pack anything that belonged to her and leave him with his expensive tastes.
