Cordelia threw her arms around his neck, tears starting up again. "I was walking home from work, it was just so nice, I wanted to enjoy the night. And this guy...he just came out of nowhere, he grabbed me, he wanted my purse. And I just...I couldn't move, he hit me with the gun, and then across my face with his other hand, I just...froze. I should have just let him have it and run, I was just so scared. If this officer hadn't found me, he probably would have just shot me and took it anyway."
She blinked a few times. "I just realized, I don't even know your name. God, I'm terrible."
