Serenity glanced over at Thomas who was trying very hard to channel his anger into tea-making. It was resulting in a few heavy clinks, but it appeared to be mostly working. "Tommy was always impressive," she said quietly and she watched as he stopped for a moment to rub at his eye. He did not look up.
When Jamie asked what she did, she looked back at him. "Uh...that's complicated-"
"He knows," Thomas informed her, his voice tightly controlled. He still was not looking at her. "Just fucking tell him."
Witha heavy sigh, Serenity trained her eyes on her shoes again. "I test video games. Write them sometimes too. I guess you could say I'm a goddess? But not one of the old ones."
