Who: Thomas Kemp & The Fates
When: Wednesday afternoon
Where: A Thread In Time
Afternoons in the middle of the week were usually quiet in the shop, and the sisters tended to take advantage of that to catch up on the little things that tended to pile up. Light cleaning, restocking popular titles, filling orders, that sort of thing. Between the three of them, the shop ran like a well-oiled machine, and they rather liked it that way.
Lachesis was upstairs in their apartment, preparing things for their dinner later, and Clotho was making out their order for next month. She tapped a pencil against her lips as she thought, circling titles that sounded interesting, or that might do well for the market they were in. Atropos came and peered over her shoulder. "No more murder mysteries," she said decisively. "We're overstocked as it is, wait until we sell some of them."
Clotho made a quietly irritated sound. "Why do people keep requesting things they don't buy?" she muttered, crossing out a few of her previous choices.
"Gods only know," Atropos replied."
