The food was the easiest topic to address, so he busied himself with it while he thought about how to respond to everything else. "Chole is like a curry, I suppose, but with chickpeas. Sweets are usually my thing, but I'll get the occasional craving for spice." He pulled out two plates and put both the flatbread and the mixture on each, passing one across the table before seating himself.
"Whether you're Hindu or not, a temple is there for just what you described. It's not really anyone's business to deny you a place for reflection. Some people might disagree with me, but they're wrong and I'm right, so…" He shrugged. "You'll always be welcome in an ISKCON temple. They can be a bit overzealous, but they're mostly good people.
"I don't think anything is really below me," he continued. He hadn't had a conversation like this in a long while, and he'd almost forgotten the topic could even come up. "There's meant to be balance in the world, so it wouldn't make sense for me to hold myself to a different standard than everyone else. Besides, I just like to have fun. Most immortals are so busy with infighting and keeping their egos fed. It's tiring."
