Who: Greed [Narrative] + Open to Hephaestus
What: Greed is planning shenanigans with Poseidon's locket.
Where: Zoe's apartment, Heph's place
By the time Greed rolled out of Lust's bed he struggled to get up. For the last hour he had just laid there with a pillow clutched in his hands, staring up at the ceiling. There was something he was certain he had to do that day after his late night tangle. Lust had rolled over, she wasn't as attentive as Zoe when it came to the after sex part. For weeks he'd gotten used to holding Zoe close. Lust let him but it felt different, almost akin to a child holding his mother. With Zoe it was a man holding a woman. It was tender, protective. It was possessive.
His phone chimed in an alarm, getting louder and louder until he picked it up. He felt Lust punch him in the side to shut it off so she could sleep. Being wide awake, Greed looked at the message flashing across the screen.
Pick up locket.
He shoved the pillow to the floor, picking himself up to get dressed. It took a little work because Lust had worn him down to a pile of mush. Between that and time change, Greed still felt like he was going on speed more than usual. His mind hadn't shut down or slept since he'd landed back in New York.
By the time he'd reached Zoe's apartment he'd had at least five cups of coffee which got his energy going so that his body was catching up to his brain. She had left the window open for him to crawl through with the locket wrapped up on her bed. He looked it over, the gold crested shell that was literally glued shut. He stuffed it in his pocket cramming one of cupcakes she'd made in his mouth. Chocolate and icing was nearly hanging out of his mouth as he snooped around. She had said not to touch Gabe's stuff, so he fiddled through hers. First the boxes by her window, then fingering the little items on her shelf. He thumbed her rail of books where he found a fat rimmed book that stood out from the rest. He tugged it out of place, a slew of pictures falling out. He was still chewing down on the cupcake, picking up her pictures to see what looked like a baby Zoe with her father. Now he was curious. He still had about fifteen minutes before he had to meet up with the Greek blacksmith, so he used his time time to dig through her photos. He had no idea what it was like to grow up like a normal person. He had no baby pictures, nothing to compare to humans growing and aging. That was why baby Ava had been so interesting. If he'd gotten to keep her she would have been a few months older now....
Greed stopped at a photo of her as a toddler, dressed like a little puppy. She had a big grin and those seal eyes that took up half her face. That too made its way into his pocket before depositing the album on her bed and swiping the second cupcake, drawing a little smiley face on her note.
He showed up at Hephaestus' at 3:02, having wiped his face clean of fat chocolate cake crumbs. The locket was now in his possession, hopefully not for too long or Zoe might have a mental breakdown.
