Jamie heard the key in the lock, and the voices that came in from the hall. Shit. He scrubbed at his face, trying to make it look like he hadn't just been crying his eyes out a minute ago. He didn't think he did a very good job, though.
His stomach flipped as he realized Lena was there too. He really did like her, but he didn't like to be seen by anyone when he'd been crying, except for his dad or Kat.
"It's nothing," he said. "Nothing, really, just...long day. Hi, Lena," he said, waving at her. "I'm just gonna go to my room."
