The timer dinged, and Piper grabbed an oven mitt and pulled the skillet out. The sauce was bubbling and the top was golden brown, so she pronounced it done and set it down on a second potholder. She fished a serving spoon out of the drawer and stuck it in the skillet, leaving the whole thing for a moment while she filled some water glasses.
She smiled. "Well then, tuck in, there's plenty," she told him, setting down plates.
"Don't say that, I haven't even seen it and I'm an inch away from enabling you," she said with a laugh.
