Piper nodded. "Then I'll keep a plate for her in the oven. Whenever she comes back in, I can warm it up for her."
She snorted. "Not so much. I do the majority of my studying, outside school, while I'm there. And I talk to people when they come in. And I could always be slinging burgers and living in a shoebox with unreliable heating."
She laughed at Charles' comment. "Is he really so bad?" she asked.
